Re: TS1500 no video

Mark,

Thanks for the hope... Given the voltage issues, maybe issue is upstream of the ram?

Pin 1: .21-.22 on all the ram
Pin 8: 8.30 on all the ram
Pin 9: +5.16 on all the ram
Pin 1 (red, Pin 16 (black): .22V on all the ram

Re: TS1500 no video

Here you can see how I modified video output of mine with the Mark's buffer mod. You can check ULA video output from the pictures. https://www.sinclairzxworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3771&p=38736&hilit=1500+composite#p38736 Thanks... That newer board is much more compact for sure... So, if I got th...

Re: TS1500 no video

Brr! I've had the same thing happen to my furnace in the winter before.

I'm in the USA, so the TS1500 is a 60hz one.

All, thanks for the guidance.. I'll need to figure out which pin off the ULA is video then start checking the output at the ula and memory chips voltages next.

Re: Photos of my TS1500

whatever happened with this? Hopefully you didn't sell it and I was the buyer, because I have a TS1500 now with no video lol. My board is identical except no jumper on the back. I did find a factory defect - cold solder joint on 1one of the 2 resistors that are cludged together on the topside near t...

Re: TS1500 no video

Thanks Mark. I only have a multi-meter, but maybe could get other equipment. is something like one of these a worthwhile investment? I don't do that much with electronics, so not sure all the uses of a scope but don't mind getting one if a workable one isn't too expensive. https://www.amazon.com/STA...

Me and a buddy still program (asm) a bit for the TS1000, and have both started collecting some of the models.. Since we never had the speccy here, I just got my first one 40 years later lol. We both ha...
