Re: Eightyone emulator tools issue
I often get this problem with various applications and windows. I just reconnect my second screen, move all the windows, then disconnect it again. Given that the system (hardware and the OS) knows when a second screen is connected, you would have thought that the OS would have handled this better, ...

Re: Eightyone emulator tools issue
Resolved! I found the ini file located in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\EightyOne. There's a lot of properties in there but I didn't have any particular settings to preverse, so deleted the EightyOne.ini file, re-ran the emulator and a new ini file is generated with the tools boxes popping up corr...

Hi, I'm having a minor problem with the Eightone emulator. When enabling the Basic Listing on the Tools menu, or the on-screen keyboard map from the from the Help menu the boxes do not appear on the screen. Other boxes from the tools menu (eg Wav loader) display fine. I think the problem goes back t...

Re: SP-2-ZX81, the new ZX81-emulator for the 48K ZX Spectrum
Well I've not been looking for that long actually, in the back of my mind I knew there was at least one ZX81 emulator available for the Spectrum but hadn't investigated it. Recently I've been painfully trying to get my original cassettes to load (I say painfully because I have various modern easier ...

Sure, but where can I find the latest version? The last version I can find on this thread is v2.13.

Re: SP-2-ZX81, the new ZX81-emulator for the 48K ZX Spectrum
This is the official release of my NEW ZX81 EMULATOR for the 48K ZX Spectrum. Fully software and much faster than my emulator from 1997. The old emulator is also included. https://www.mediafire.com/file/oiejfzmjzekjrdx/SP-2-ZX.zip/file Late to this... but just wanted to say thanks, just what I've b...

Re: Writing data files
One hint: if you use SAVE within a running BASIC program (to continue the program there after LOAD), the SAVE command may be used only in the main program, not located a sub-routine!!! The reason is, that the RETURN address of the sub-routine is stored on the BASIC stack, which is NOT saved by the ...

Re: Writing data files
Thanks for the info and ideas, much appreciated. I'm making quite a large game that will take up 16k. Would it be a fairly acceptable solution to save the program with variables in their current state. Then when the player wants to continue where they left off, load the entire game with variables in...
