Re: Newbie question
I don't know if there is anything pre-made. If there was, it would probably be an individual doing it... so in that sense it is possible. However, I'd encourage you do pick up the soldering iron and give it a go. HDMI isn't straightforward, however. My experience and costing to build a new mechanica...

uLA81 pin problem
I bought a few more uLA81 and one came with the pins squished. I should have contacted the seller, but like an idiot I tried to bend them back only to find out that these pins don't bend... they break. Thinking this would be a straightforward job, I de-soldered the pins only to then find out that pi...

Re: SD extension on ZXpand+
In case anyone was wondering, I'm having trouble with my meter. It's a 121GW EEVBlog meter and even with a known capacitor, I'm getting odd results. I'm concluding I just can't get this sorted... but I've got another problem to get to grips with, however I'll take pictures tomorrow and save that for...

Re: RAM Packs Alternatives?
Work - yes. Capable of WRX high res graphics... maybe not. However, not that many games use it, so you should be good to go.
If there are some that are better than others... I'll have to leave for those more experienced to advise.

Re: RAM Packs Alternatives?
The problem with the wobble would probably exist with any RAM pack that used the same method to hook up to the ZX81, I believe. So you would probably be better off trying to find a way to stabilise existing RAM packs. If you do decide to do an internal RAM modification and you're comfortable with a ...
