Re: 32k 62256 mem mod help
Well, at least it's you got more memory this time. I was half expecting you to say that you upgraded to 32k, but it now only shows 1k!!! Anyway, I can't help on the technical side, but I quickly tester this memory test prog in an emulator set to 32k, and it reports the correct amount: http://www.emu...

Reset button
I have an extra key on my full travel keyboard that I want to use as a reset button. I'm so sick of having to always pull the power. Can anyone tell me how to wire it up so I can get a safe reset?
Thanks
Phil

Re: MANIC MINER
I found this game a few years ago and have played it often. The game is truly amazing. I used to play it on my ZX spectrum when I was a kid so to find it for my beloved ZX81 was fantastic, and to have it with such amazing graphics was just the icing on the cake. I wish there were more games at this ...

Re: looking for Jarek Adamski
So I pulled my ZX81 out of storage today for 2 reasons. Firstly I wanted to prepare everything for mounting into a suitcase enclosure, and secondly I wanted to try copying a .p file directly to the SD card from my Powerbook, and then see if it ran on the ZX81 from the µIEC...amazingly it worked with...

Re: looking for Jarek Adamski
Thanks for the schematic. I had previously mounted my SD card from my µIEC on my PC and I could see my ZX files (just the names, no file type)...I thought then maybe I could copy a .p file directly to the SD card and wondered if it would work. At the time I assumed it wouldn't so I didn't try, now I...

Re: looking for Jarek Adamski
I have a copy of star commander, but I have never used it or built the cable. So do you just copy over the .p file? I pulled out my PC and I have uploaded a .wav file that I found. I can't be 100% sure what version this is for (however It's probably the 8192 entry point), but please give it a try if...

Re: looking for Jarek Adamski
Just curious, how exactly do you get the .p file onto your 1541? Can load the .p file using the 1541 you already have, then save it to tape, then reload it on your other setup? Unfortunately I have just moved apartments so all my stuff is in boxes, otherwise I could probably help more. If I can find...

Re: looking for Jarek Adamski
P.S. you can see my setup here:

...since that picture was taken I've added a µIEC card in conjunction with the ZX1541 and it works great.

Re: looking for Jarek Adamski
Well, it's been a while since i did this, so forgive me if I'm vague. I recall the process was quite simple. I believe you just remove the write protect jumper, and run the .p program from the ZX81. However if you are using the older 1.1 version then I believe your entry point is actually 8192 not 1...
