Re: Replacement connectors

Thank you very much Phil. That makes it very clear that the CL1382 parts (S6/BB) are the true replacement for the sinclair ones. :D A friend of mine and me had tried to order these from farnell.co.uk lat saturday but that seems rather difficult for a hobbyist (for most germans credit cards and inter...

Re: Replacement connectors

Hi, I wonder if these are really the right parts. They are the CL1382 parts (S6/BB). From the datasheet attached by farnell these are supposed to be used with wires. We would need S6/BB PC for printed circuit boards which are CL1384. These can be found elsewhere (e.g. mercateo). Did anybody order th...

5 6 T Y G H J K L newline V B What may I look first? The flat cables? I am afraid I have to agree to what Rich says. From my experiences it is no use to try to repair this by cutting the end of the leads. It will not work or last long. The best way is definitely to replace the membrane by one of Ri...

Re: ZXpand ROM release V4 beta

Is this behaviour limited to startup only? If that is also performed on a NEW command, then there could be problems when you want to play 1K or 2K games (by setting RAMTOP down), because those programs might expect a collapsed display file. Siggi Are you thinking of typing in? Because on load all t...

Re: Book "Son of cheap video"

(trying to be also funny without wanting to irritate/annoy you Moggy) As it would require to stop the ULA from what it's normally doing ;) , this would be something for the new ULA's that are under heavy development. But instead of this, why not integrate the Colormodule of the Lambda8300 instead? 8...

How about having a Reset without deleting anything in Memory?
To break a Program or recover a crashed program.
Autorunning menu.p would be great 8-)

Re: ZX-MMC2 ("the ZXPand") Update log

The TS1500s need a new GAL, I'm sure. It's working, but there well may be random crashes because both RAM chips will be active simultaneously. I am not owning a TS1500 but I wonder wether there would be a way to have the 32K RAM in ZXPand "surrounding" the internal memory by enhancing CONFIG M for ...
