Re: Chroma 81 - SCART and Colour interface for the ZX81

Hi Kelly You have been busy! The thumbnail screenshots look great, like they were designed with colour in mind!! :) I look forward to trying them out on real hardware, and will definitely be linking to them from my website. In the game Glooper the result was not perfect, but this is a good price to ...

Re: New release of EightyOne available

Speed settings of 1X, 16X and 32X all take about 6 sec. to fill the screen. Strange. I see a clear difference filling the screen like that, at least up to 4x. Beyond that it is still rapid but looks similar to 4x. Whenever I'm typing in a program I always crank the speed up to 4x or 8x (beyond that...

Re: ZX80 SITE

Ah, I see. The game implementation is lacking, rather than bugs. Although ZX80 BASIC is more primitive than ZX81 BASIC, it ought to be possible to runs a decent simulation that is similar to Football Manager (or perhaps even a port of it...). Mike also wrote two other large ZX80 programs - Streets o...

Re: ZX80 SITE

Line 5. After Gosport in the listing. Thanks. Oh yeah, I see the problem now! I typed the game into the EightyOne emulator a few years back. The latest release of EightyOne would make the job a lot easier now because the listing could be typed into Notepad (or some other text editor) and then read ...

Re: ZX80 SITE

unfortunately who ever did the typing omitted one single space in the program listing which causes you to go through an entire season only to play your own team on the final game then kerash! Oops, sorry! Do you recall which line? Have you submitted an updated version back to the Type Fantas...

Just curious, does the speed option in the menu actually do anything?
I've always found this does make an impact. You don't see any speed improvement at all?

Re: New release of EightyOne available

Thanks for reporting the bug. It's very strange because that area of the code has not changed. It seems it is caused by a timing issue since enabling drag and drop later in the start up process resolves the issue. This fix along with several other ones will appear in v1.14, but I plan to wait a whil...

Re: New release of EightyOne available

Version 1.13 of EightyOne is now available from SourceForge . This new version fixes a number of minor bugs, includes a few enhancements and adds two new features. See the release history readme file for the full list of changes. The first new feature is a window that displays the BASIC program curr...

Re: bugs found on eo

I ran it using 0.42z and 1.12 and it ran the same on both. I noticed there is a small glitch at startup on both versions where it looks like an extra line is inserted right across the maze from the left tunnel to the right tunnel. The glitch is only momentary and shifts the maze down then back up. I...

If you can make a wav recording of the program and I can have a go at recovering the program bytes from it.
