Just a quick one. Are there any plans for porting EO to macOS?
I don't know anything about macOS, but the source is freely available should anyone wish to have a go.

Re: bugs found on eo

- the memotech hrg board works well only on very old versions I am not familiar with the operation of the HRG board. Could you provide some more details on what doesn't work so well. If you could provide step-by-step instructions on what to do to replicate the problemsand explain how it should beha...

Re: EightyOne Green Screen ?

EightyOne doesn't currently have a green screen mode.

Re: EightyOne tape load problem

If you have updated from a much older version of EightyOne then you will need to delete the EightyOne.ini file saved by the previous version, which is located in a hidden folder under your user account name. When you next run the emulator it will create a new ini file, but now of the correct format....

Re: ZX81 Berzerk Clone

The operation of the DDC colour interface is described here on the forum. It doesn't sound a very flexible mechanism. I was on the verge of buying one back in the day as the idea of adding colour to the ZX81 sounded incredible but I never did in the end. The DDC interface certainly wouldn't have all...

Fruitcake: do you think you can patch the ZX81x2 ROM for the Chroma Interface to allow loading programs via RS232?
I'll add it to my TO DO list.

Re: The Tempest Mystery

The inlay for the game says: Tempest.gif And this thread provides some details on how the Mikrogen joystick interface is read: Why I try the game with and without Chroma in EightyOne, both show "PRESS ANY KEY" so Chroma is not conflicting wit...

Re: Requesting Help to Load a .WAV file.

I managed to load the file and run it, but the game screen remains static. However, pressing BREAK returns to BASIC and so it isn't crashing. Placing a breakpoint at 18823 shows that the machine code is being run at the correct entry point and it does go through the motions of regularly checking the...

Re: LODERUNNER on the ZX81

I've managed to reproduce the issue you reported using the EightyOne emulator by setting the Chr$ Generator setting in the Hardware dialog to dk'tronics instead of CHR$16 . Even with CHR$16 mode selected, the same issue is seen if the output format selected in CPEC is 8K-64 ; it needs to be 8K-128 ....
