Re: ZX81 Berzerk Clone

Yes, it's chroma enabled, but will also run on standard hardware.

Things to do include; collision detection, bullets, robot movement, the maze and of course evil Otto.

ZX81 Berzerk Clone

Here are some screenshots of a ZX81 Berzerk clone I'm working on. I was going to post some video footage, but this forum does not seem to allow it. Never mind ,here are some shots from my test screens. There's a lot of work to be done yet, but I'm pleased with it so far. berzerk1.JPG berzerk2.JPG be...

Re: JetPac for the ZX81

I've exchanged emails with Paul, the person behind the chroma interface. He was very helpful with technical details and my next game, a Berzerk clone will have chroma support. I'l consider revisiting Jetpac and adding colour if I can find the time.

Re: JetPac for the ZX81

I almost forgot, I have also produced an mp3 so you can play this on a real ZX81. I have loaded this and it does work. I always like my game to play on the original hardware. Here's a link to my webpage where you can get the mp3. I don't seem to be able to upload the mp3 to this forum, but you can g...

Masada Class game

Here's is a game I programmed in 1994 on a real ZX81. So you can imagine how long it took to load the assembler, source code, compile it, have it crash and have to start again. In the end I had enough and programmed some of it, mainly the intro, in basic. The game itself is in machine code. This fea...

JetPac for the ZX81

Here's my first new game post on this forum, a ZX81 version of the Spectrum game Jetpac I finished earlier this year. It has four types of alien and two ships to assemble. This version features re-definable keys and variable difficulty levels which the original game didn't have, so the ZX81 is ahead...

New Zealand ZX81 programmer

Hi, I'm from New Zealand and thought I should join this forum to swap ideas and publicise my games. I've put a number of ZX81 programs together. My most well known games are, "Masada Class" written in 1994 and a ZX81 version of Jetpac I finished earlier this year. I'll put some links and more info f...
