Thanks. I found more info on these clone models online. I don't own any of them or have ever seen any of them for real, hence they are all a bit of a mystery to me. If anything isn't quite right with their emulation in EO then hopefully people will let me know.

I wasn't involved in that change and can't claim to understand how that aspect all works. I suspect it would require a substantial reworking of the emulator to decouple it in a nice way.

Yes that would be useful. But at the moment there is no current mechanism to do that.
