Re: Backup of ts1000.us found

When you made those posts and then gave away your Spectrum +2 for free (back in April 2008), I thought you were leaving the Sinclair world permanently. Sometimes people find they don't have time for their favorite hobby, or they just lose interest. But it's always good when we see someone coming ba...

Re: Wanted: Mindware MW100

I took a trip down memory lane when I found this post for the MW100 after all these years. In 1982 I designed the electronics and wrote the firmware for the MW100 using the Epsom printer head to interface to the ZX81 and Timex1000 I was selling a range of game cartridges for the ZX81, I demonstrate...

Re: DMA - why not?

Perhaps you could describe your hardware a little bit more (which lines are driven by your hardware during DMA)? Wilf's DMA solution seemed to work: http://www.user.dccnet.com/wrigter/index_files/HS4.htm HTH Siggi Did WIlf (or anyone else) ever build the HS-4 or (1 - 3) and make it work? I recall W...

Re: 'Old' ROM, etc

Was there a difference between the zx81 and the ts1000 roms? I Think there should have been at least one for the number of cycles per second (50 vs 60) and the 2k versus the 1k installed (as I type I think of more). Was there any bug fixes with these changes?. I recall Wilf documented a number of ch...

Re: Which one to use

Actually I meant more in the way of which system would be better for any hardware upgrading? It seems the majority of all the upgrades are designed to take advantage of the ZX81 . TS1000 design and not the TS1500 which is really different. Maybe I should try to stuff a ZX81, TS1000 inside o fthe TS1...

Which one to use

I am going to be pulling my "stuff" out of the closet soon and am debating which system to use. Should I use a TS1000 with the 64k ram pack or should I use the TS1500 with a 16k ram. I havent seen many mods for the ts1500 but I love the feel of it over the ts1000.

Re: Former maker of Sinclair add-ons in the U.S

I'll have to dig my 64k expansion pack out of the closet but the name "Byte-Back" makes me think they were the manufacturer of it (it had no name).

Re: Backup of ts1000.us found

I am glad you guys have a backup of the old site - mine went away when the system it was on went *poof*. Also just an FYI - I am in the process of bringing back ts1000.us.
