Re: EO + ZXpand?
Sorry for reawakening an old post, but my question is relevant.
I can't find any info on how to use sub-folders, was it ever possible? It'd be really useful to me. Now that I have the real zxpand, I have some code to test/debug on the emu before deploying on the real thing...

Re: Zxpand power requirements?
I've run with my new 7.5V switching power supply all morning without any problem whatsoever. So it seems that zxpand does not like too high voltages from old ZX power supplies. One good thing about the new supply is that the heatsink on the zeddy gets barely warm :D Another good thing is that I was ...

Re: Zxpand power requirements?
Just finished a conversion of a switching supply 12V => 7.5V and running MultiScroll demo now to see if it is stable. So far so good!
Thanks for the link, enlightenment feels good.

Re: Zxpand power requirements?
OK, I will try a lower voltage supply and see what happens.
If anyone does find the mod-thread I'd appreciate a link. Didn't find it myself. Lacking search-power tonight.
But first, I'll try to get the original working.

Re: Zxpand power requirements?
Both of mine are 700mA supplies as well... Have run for a while now without reset, but had lots of them an hour ago. No HW changes, and the interface seems stable, no wobble-resets. Did a recheck with the scope, and connected to the zeddy I have 11V with quite a lot of sine. 14.5V unconnected, almos...

Zxpand power requirements?
While testing the zxpand I've run into a problem. The ZX81 resets when it has run a while. I changed the 7805 to a new one, @1A, which I hope is enough since that was what was on the original. I've replaced some of the caps as well. The ZX81 runs without any problems with a 16k memory expansion, Mem...

I disagree. When the games are as good as this, big-pixel is NICE!

Re: Imagine...
All valid reasons PokeMon, thanks. It's so easy to forget all the "hidden" limitations of old hardware.
