Re: 16th ZX81 users meeting in Germany, march 2012
I have only one TV-set with NTSC When talking about ZX81, please forget NTSC or PAL or SECAM. These are Color -modes and ZX81 uses b/w* only. For ZX81 or TS1000 you need a "goold old" tv with manual tuning. UHF Channel 36 for ZX81, and VHF channel 2 or 3 for TS1000. Peter * color and sound: nothing...

Re: 16th ZX81 users meeting in Germany, march 2012
There may be opportunity for some sightseeing - which would be nice! Please don't expect a single minute for sightseeing. Though we do not close the doors, nobody besides the wifes wants to go for a walk. At our first meeting 15 years ago, we did, but only about 200m away from the meeting, the firs...

Re: SPeccy ON the ZeddY
Hi Zolt,
please excuse, it was me, who didn't answer, because I'm the organizer, the cook, the quartermaster and responsible for everything what happens to prepare and implement the meeting.

Re: How to detect a faulty ULA?
Pull out the CPU-chip too and make a new test for the CLK-signal.
In my tests I've found much more damaged CPUs than ULAs. I think this is why most CPU signals are directly connected to the expansion slot.
ULAs seem to be killed by overheating, not so much by external hardware.
