Re: Tellab TL801

This is the documentation that came on a CDr with my kit.
There is also scans of the ZX80 & ZX81 manuals in REALLY bad quality. There are better copies online.
The included programs (.P and .O files) are also found online.

Short: M/C player on the ZX81, movie encoding on the PC.

Re: A seasonal movie

I just tested it in EO successfully, and here are the settings:
- make sure that both files are in the virtual SD-card folder, snowman.p and snowman.rvc
- 32k RAM
- Chr$ Generator: CHR$16
- ZXpand+ checked

The reason for the repeated text-message is because the player does not find the rvc-file.

A seasonal movie

The snowman was a favourite when I was much younger, but my memory clocked it at far less than its 25 minutes. I still enjoy the story and style of the movie, even when played on the ZX81 :D So here is a ZX81 video player and file to watch the film in all its monochrome glory. As usual, UDG128 and Z...

Re: New year, new projects?

Well, another year coming up: Since I bought a Minstrel 3 I'll try to get it working at 3.6864 and 4 MHz to get 40 (or more) column graphics and a small speed bump. Requires changes to the divider, 236 or 256 instead of 207. Also a new ROM to deal with the changes in timing and number of rows. Might...

A new ZX81 for me!

I just pulled the trigger on a Minstrel 3 ZX81 clone. It went on sale yesterday, so I had all night to read the schematics and think about it. I look forward to a stable ZX81 that will never develop a faulty ULA, and I will CERTAINLY mod the heck out of it :) Details at: http://blog.tynemouthsoftwar...
