Re: ZXPand Organizer

Nice utility! Will be a bit of work to do some tests, but very good looking when done.

DOOM on ZX81?!

What if the ZX81 could have been made to play DOOM, what would that look like? No way to know, it simply isn't even remotely possible to code the classic shooter with the poor performance of our beloved door-stopper. Now however, I've made a 30fps widescreen video of someone playing DOOM episode 1 m...

Re: I released my ZX81+35 ZX-81 clone design files on Github

I've looked with delight at your different posts regarding your project over the years. It is a well documented build that I would love to get to build sometime. Even more, I'd love a version that is through-hole, hope there is a kit in the end. I'd also say the silence regarding most projects is qu...

Re: RVC video encoder

OK Moggy, I had time to start and test on a windows computer now. It works under win10, 64bit. Maybe you tried it on a win7, 32bit? If you only get the player-text, the video file (.RVC) is probably missing from the folder of the player. You need to place the player (.P) and video file (.RVC) in the...

The exe is cross-compiled on my Linux box, and I've only tried it under Wine. Unfortunately I have no idea if it works on anything else.

Re: RVC video encoder

Lardo Boffin wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2019 10:30 am That is impressive looking stuff! How do you play it on the zeddy?
It's all in the release notes (the PDF), basically you drop the player and video files in a folder on the SD-card of your ZXpand, connected via UDG4ZXpand to the ZX81.

RVC video encoder

OK, I've been hard at work lately to finish some kind of release of my ZX81 video encoder. Here is the first result with source, binary encoder for windows, and example video streams / ZX81 players. Hopefully I get some input from you on how to get better at cross compiling the encoder (NOT my stron...
