Re: ZX80 Oddity with Replacement ROM
Late to the party as always  Still, better late than never! I'm with Moggy on this one. The most likely situation is that I have cocked something up - that is a _technical_ term, as used by us in the know ;) VectrexRoli - if you would be so kind then sending me the roms would allow me t...

Re: "Book" Repository?
503 Service Temporarily Unavailable. Is what I get with my main PC yet no problem with the one upstairs at the moment. I seem to recall having this problem before when I bookmark the site in Firefox. The bookmark allows access for a short while then I find the bookmark no longer works so I seek out ...

Re: ZX80 Oddity with Replacement ROM
Quote. "So for now I guess it is one of those 3 issues: 1) The content of the new replacement ROM is corrupt. I have no way for checking that and as I got also a replacement ROM already, how likely would it be I have the same issue twice?.." If Charlie (and this is said with all due respect to my fo...

Re: ZX80 Oddity with Replacement ROM
I can confirm what Mark says in his post about the replacement parts making no difference as my ZX80 is Identical(issue2) to yours, Same Traco Reg, same video device as yours and same cap replacement. I do differ however in having original NMOS Zilog z80. I notice that the "original" ROM has a stick...

Re: ZX80 Oddity with Replacement ROM
At the risk of stating the mundane, has he inserted the EPROM the correct way round? I made that mistake with my 80 as the new EPROM didn't seem to be as well marked as to orientation as the original ROM. Logic dictates that what works with the original device should also work with the new on...

Re: RAM packs compatible with both ZX80 and ZX81?
I have used Sinclairs own ZX81 pack,Memotech,Stonechip panda,Audio Computers,Kaydee and a few others all with no problems. I would stress that I had to use the ZX80 Zxpand extension cable from here.. http://www.sellmyretro.com/offer/details/brand-new-sinclair-zx80-zxpand-conversion-kit-2081?PageSpee...
