Re: TI99/4A KEYBOARD ADAPTATION
I don't see why it wouldn't fit. Back in the early '80's I had put it in a nice sloped console/cabinet that I got from Radio Shack. Heavy duty metal, broke one set of nibblers cutting it. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4e/Nibbler1.jpg Here's the box that's on its way: https://www.b...

Re: TI99/4A KEYBOARD ADAPTATION
I did same mod some thirty-odd years ago too. I think that I was able to get a new TI-99/4A keyboard back then, but now I couldn't find a new one. So I camped out on ebay waiting for a junk TI to come along - got one for $12 + shipping. Get the one with the black keys, then you're assured that you'l...

Re: Yet another ROM adapter
Now. A bare board is available immediately. $4 plus shipping (which could be really cheap if you're in the U.S. -- I'll just throw it in an envelope 1st class mail).

Re: ZX81CCP video output for ZX81
Great product! As suggested, I gutted the modulator box and put the CCP circuit board inside with some double-sided tape. How convenient, GND, SIGNAL, and +5V are sitting just outside of the box! https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/files.suncup.net/IMG_1381_tny.jpg https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/...

Yet another ROM adapter
This handles standard 27128 and 27256 pinouts, plugs into the 24pin ROM socket (don't know if it still fits in the case, but if it doesn't, I sure that soldering the adapter in place of the socket, things will fit). First thought about a perfboard solution, but then found that PCB manufacturing is r...

Z80A SPICE Model
Thanks to some fantastic research and work by Goran Devic over at http://baltazarstudios.com/anatomy-z80-gate/ , I've been able to put together a SPICE model and simulation of the output stage of the Z80A address line. Re: Verification of ZX81 ROM
Yes, that's the software I'm using. "Reliably" referred to having the Centos 7 virtual machine automatically detect and connect to it with its access being R/W by a non-privileged user. OK, that's figured out and taken care of now, a permanent setting in VirtualBox to hand off that device to the VM,...
