Re: SPeccy ON the ZeddY
Ah...I just realized that this is a 16k ROM image. Does anyone know if i Just fill up the last two 8k ROM slots on my 27c256 with this 16k rom image will the zeddy be able to access all of the 16k? I'm assuming this isn't possible, as that would be just too easy, and that's not what this hobby is ab...

Re: SPeccy ON the ZeddY
I was thinking to try to burn a real EPROM from this and try it on my zeddy. I have a multirom setup that can take 8 images on a 27c256. Presently I'm I have: ZX81 ROM ZX81_Improved ROM Shoulders of Giants (sg81) Tree Forth (Tree4th) H4th ASZMICE07 (4k - doubled) So I have room for 2 more ROM images...

Re: ZX80 convert .o to .wav
I have been recently helping Paul Farrow debug some of his code for his ZX80 Pacman and Donkey Kong (you will notice that these programs have recently been updated as they had issues detecting NTSC or PAL on a real ZX80), and in the process I have learnt a few things about converting from .o to .wav...

Re: ZX80 Software copied...how to convert to .o ???
Sorry guys, being all the way over here in Japan I didn't realize what an important weekend it was. Anyway, I have downloaded all those previous "Image Computer Products' files, and most of mine seem to be different, and only one cassette is the same. Here is the list of what I have: • Learning lab ...

Re: ZX80 Software copied...how to convert to .o ???
Humm...no replied! I guess converting wav to .o isn't as simple as I was hoping. I've managed to load a few wav files in eightyone, and for the present time I've just saved them as snapshots (.z81) until I can figure out what to do with them. Many of the captured wav files are in bad shape. I'm work...

Re: ZX1541 in action
Yes, I was able to contact Luis. He is presently working on updating the firmware to 1.4.
He already sent a 1.4 beta that I am testing. There are a few bugs that need fixing.
Thanks
Phil

ZX80 Software copied...how to convert to .o ???
I'm not sure if these tapes exist anywhere on the net, so I decided to make a copy. I have 10 cassettes for the ZX80 from 'Image Computer products' including their 'Computer Learning Lab' series (unfortunately I don't have the tutorials/manuals). Anyway, I am presently ripping the tapes to .wav file...

Re: ZX80 troubles
Thanks Paul, Anyway, problem solved. I took the readings from the 7805 and all seemed ok. I removed the ROM and reinserted it...that fixed it right up. Although I am having much trouble loading a wav file from either my PC or my Mac. Can't get it to work at all...I had done this before with no probl...

ZX80 troubles
Would plugging in a 9v @ 1.5amps damage my ZX80. This is the power supply I use for my ZX81, but my ZX81 has a lot of extra hardware attached so I bought this PSU with extra amps to handle the load. Anyway, my ZX80 seems dead now. Plugging in a more conservative 9v @ 0.65 amp doesn't fix the issue. ...
