Re: ZXpand firmware improvements
After reading Charlie's dissertation on the "io rw pic bus...", I no longer have the delusion that this stuff is direct or easy given the design of the z.
I may have to stick to making wooden zeddy cases.

Re: What about a 1500 clone "Spec' Jr."
For the faceplate, how about a chromecoat adhesive backed printed overlay to go over any faceplate. Apply then cut out key-holes with razor knife. Maybe. Not as clean, but for keys use similar printed but die cut stickers for rubby' keys. Nah. These really need silkscreening. Need blanks of faceplat...

What about a 1500 clone "Spec' Jr."

At my age, I need a monocle to read the Zeddy keyboard :? The keyboard would be larger tactile with the KDLX for the Spectrum. TS1500 ...

What is a midlife crisis?
BTW I need another ZXPand for my 35 year old TS1500. My TS2020 tape recorder is only partially functional...
Send it to my POBOX so my wife does not know I bought something! Is that a crisis?
In other words Hello!

Re: New Spectrum cases
Interesting point. I will test the new KDLX keyboard...WHICH WORKS! Now I have two 1500's The old membrane has NO visual problems if your not wearing glasses. Speccy from "eurosupplier" will just have to go into NEW case entirely. With a KDLX keyboard which are currently sold out except in kit form....

Re: New Spectrum cases
1500 runs cooler and physical inspection shows no signs of ribbon damage or breaks. No key press changes "K" cursor.

Re: KDLX Install Timex Sinclair 1500
I bought another KDLX to create a Timex Sinclair 2048ish for my other non-working 1500 using a spectrum from ByteDelight with composite mod and faceplate and rubber keys from ZXRENEW.
