Re: ZXmore - questions and answers (FAQ)

Pokemon, It is now running. I could press a few instances with few different colors showed up at the multicolored LED. But, I still saw some "trashed" characters showed up some of the screen. I need your help in finding a few ICs responsible for its black dots generating section. I need to ensure mo...

Re: ZXmore - questions and answers (FAQ)

I found out that my original ROM content (SST39SF040) was corrupted! I finally saw a welcome screen after I downloaded a file from you in the behalf of this forum. But, it was like more corrupted characters and a few black columns! Do you want a video of the screen itself? Any suggestion on checking...

Re: ZXmore - questions and answers (FAQ)

Pokemon, After I looked over a cover of the ZXmore V2: notes for the construction kit, I decided to put a capacitor (471) in the C4's area and soldered it down. Still no change on the screen. I found a wire with a single female header connector at one end and a single male header connector at anothe...

Re: ZXmore - questions and answers (FAQ)

Pokemon and Shaun, With an oscilloscope, I could see a few video back porch waves and a few clock square waves from the Z80's pin number 6. Did you see these waves on your own board? Shaun, is your screen showing only steady white screen? If so, then it is the same thing as mine. Thanks, Dessony

Re: ZXmore - questions and answers (FAQ)

Pokémon (Karl),

Did you receive my recent email and a zippered video folder from me? These data were sent to info@ginger-electronic.com.

I might start tracing a few tracks related to ROM since I only see a bright white screen and nothing another else. Please correct me if I am wrong.

ThanX,
Wm

Re: ZXmore - questions and answers (FAQ)

Good old American CPU! Zilog; Z84C0008PEG; Z80 CPU; 1506 XO An A16 grounding test failed, I still see the white screen, no white "K" within black square yet. :( However, the LED turned blue on as soon as I did the A16 grounding test. After I took an end of a wire off, the multicolor LED was black. I...

Re: ZXmore - questions and answers (FAQ)

IMG_0037.jpg IMG_0036.jpg I put the CPLD bearing its label ,"ZXmore V2-19 06/2017" in. All jumpers are in its proper place in according to the page 8 of the ZXmore - notes for the construction kit, including NTSC jumper(J13). Also, I burned an EEPROM with a MiniPro Programmer v6.60. This programmer...

Re: ZXmore - questions and answers (FAQ)

Hello Pokémon (Karl),
I bought a ZXmore V.1.2 from you. I transferred most of the components from the ZXmore v1.1 to new board and completed it. I hooked it up to a wall transformer and a monochrome monitor. A white screen showed up. No welcome screen yet! What should I do next?

Re: TS1500 composite mod

One of two TS1500s in my hands has the exact similar video modulator to one pictured above one. Both of these modulators were gutted out to make a room for the 1024MAK/dessony veroboard circuit board. http://www.sinclairzxworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2405&p=25270&hilit=1024mak+video#p25270 As for t...

Re: HOT-Z Keys

Thanks! :D

After I opened the zippered folder and went deeper into the folder, I noticed that one Hot-ZII 16K file was corrupted. I see what I can do about that corrupted file. I believe that I have one on my cassette. I can try to upload clean one here if I can.
