Re: ZXpand enclosures available
Good news guys! Thanks to Charlie I have finalized the design of the ZXpand+AY enclosure and it is being printed at this moment. I plan to go ahead and print several and get them listed on SMR as soon as possible. Since it is larger and takes longer to print (and a little more material as well) I wi...

ZXpand enclosures available
I still have 3d-printed enclosures for sirmorris' ZXpand board available on SMR. Now that I have one of his AY boards (thanks, Charlie) the enclosure that will accommodate them both will coming very soon.

Re: ZX81 Free to a good home
Rich, I'll take it if postage to US isn't excessive +/- $10. If they have a PayPal account payment can be made that way.

Re: ZX81 ULA replacement revisited
Thanks Martin. I had downloaded these zip files previously and looked at the contents, but felt like a hog being shown a wrist watch. I've got a LOT to learn. One thing that threw me off was the absence of an obvious .brd file in the contents. I'll keep studying and hopefully make some progress.

Re: ZX81 ULA replacement revisited
I guess this is the part where I fully expose my ignorance once again! My real reason for going with the MACH210 design as old as it is, is because it is the only design which I have found the files for the board, schematic, and source file to reproduce with my limited experience. Naturally I ...

Re: ZX81 ULA replacement revisited
Thanks, Paul. Yeah, I have read about the Bodo board having that issue, but it should be easily corrected with the addition of the ZXVid board or similar. With my limited knowledge and abilities I need the most easily implemented solution available. I have the schematic, board files, and the JDEC fi...

Re: ZX81 ULA replacement revisited
After sorting through the ZIP files I have downloaded and further scouring the forum, it seems about the only thing missing is what are the affordable programming unit(s) are suitable with burning the MACH210 chip using a 40-pin adapter. In his article, José Leandro Novellón mentioned using the IceT...

Re: ZX81 ULA replacement revisited
You guys are awesome! Thanks for the quick replies and the great information that I had been unable to dig up on my own. This ought to provide me with plenty of "food for thought" until or if I hit another knowledge roadblock. Siggi, do you have any links to Andy's ULA-2 implementation? Hopefully it...

ZX81 ULA replacement revisited
Having recently brought my old TS1000 out of storage and begun exploring this and other ZX-related forums, it appears that there is a continued interest among many users to bring "dead" machines back to life with replacement ULA's. As there are virtually no old NOS Ferranti ULA's in existence, I am ...
