Re: Need help reverse engineering Timex Store Demonstrator ROM file

Hello everybody,

The board works!
The stacked and mounted 74LS133 chip is on the 3 sockets.

Re: Need help reverse engineering Timex Store Demonstrator ROM file

Hi DesSony, just tell me your whishes, I am making a Version where the ROM is above the Zeddy Case so it fits the Zeddy better with a zif socket. Paul, I got it! I understand that you meant "wishes". BINGO! 1) Give it around 25.4 mm or 1 inch longer between where an edge connector and EPROM/EEPROM s...

Re: Need help reverse engineering Timex Store Demonstrator ROM file

XavSnap, As I told you about the 74LS133 voltage feed reversal a few posts ago here. I completely agreed with Paul! :) I fixed this problem with two "stacked" 16 pins sockets and two short wires on my "bugged" board. I wondered whether can I add a few millimeters and centimeters to the board's heigh...

Re: Need help reverse engineering Timex Store Demonstrator ROM file

Paul and Mrtinb,

I am not a board designer. XavSnap is. I wanted the board bit a little taller around 2.5 centimeters or more.

Re: Need help reverse engineering Timex Store Demonstrator ROM file

With the case installed, you would have to use an extension cable. If the computer is uncased, then full room for 27C64 or 28C64 to make some EPROM/EEPROM modifications. The board could use more than 2.5 centimeters of height raise to ensure a 7805, a 74LS244, an electrolyte capacitor, and a "loaded...

Re: Need help reverse engineering Timex Store Demonstrator ROM file

I anticipated a TSD PCB order by preparing components for it. I received the PCB order 2 days ago (9/30/'22). After assembling the board, I checked the voltage reading before putting ICs on the board. As I expected, the 5 ICs had top left holes 5-volts readings with the 6 Silkprinted notches on its ...
