Since posting I've added the character set panel. Click a character to select it (for no reason as yet) but double-clicking it will print it to the screen. I think Dr. Beep is quite brutal in his use of all the free memory locations, it's not something I've tried though. But perhaps in this case that's missing the point - this is supposed to be a nice easily understood starter project for people

I've updated the binary so ZXpand is now detected so it will work on machines without it enabled.

The version posted was for ZXpand, and uses its features quite extensively.
Also it's not written in C. Ahem.
I'll find a machine capable of compiling it and post a new binary later.

No ZXpand code at all, if I remember correctly. It's written in C for a base machine. It was released 4 years before ZXpand arrived.
