Not bad, with such a fast clock you can get a relevant boost by making the visible area thinner.
Even the ARX mode slowness is not a problem anymore.. is it the real reason for your project ?

Perhaps it is an audio output.
Try connecting it to an amplifier.. if you hear the video raster noise then we're on the right guess, but you need to look for the proper software (z88dk supports this kind of sound).
