Re: Internal AY-8912, has anyone tried it?
The ZXpand + has the AY chip fitted as standard and not as an add on board so anyone who has the ZXpand + (which is many) already have the facility and wouldn't want to have the same thing twice or have to butcher the zeddies case for the stereo output socket. Apart from the rare bit of software us...

Internal AY-8912, has anyone tried it?
I was looking at this: https://hw.speccy.cz/ayinterface.html and started thinking about such an option for the Zeddy... OK, I know about ZONX, or the ZXPand AY-board, but how about fitting the soundchip INSIDE the Zeddy with an extra little board and some wiring? I imagine a machine with internal 32...

Re: How can I convert p files to wav?
I suggest the excellent OTLA utility...
https://code.google.com/archive/p/otla/ ... oOtla.wiki
...it converts P to WAV and it offers turbo loading speed (~10-12'' for an average 16k proggy) with very high reliability. Dunno if it can handle progs over 16k, but who cares?

Re: SP-2-ZX81, the new ZX81-emulator for the 48K ZX Spectrum
Well, last night I was thinking about what I asked and I decided to experiment a little by myself... I ripped the 8k ROM file out of the emulator's TAP and replaced it with the fast ROM from zsolt... Purple border after loading and the Spectrum (I used Spectaculator on the PC for the experiment, not...

Re: MSX - Amstrad - Enterprise emulating a Zeddy?
Very interesting info so far from kmurta (thanks, I didn't know about the MSX Zeddy emu) and dr beep, thank you both for replying! 8-) @dr beep: I understand what you say, this mess with the addresses must be a real headache for a programmer... I wish I was a coder to help a little... Of course if t...

MSX - Amstrad - Enterprise emulating a Zeddy?
As a heavily addicted emulator geek, I have to say that I admire any attempt of the programmers to adapt a system within another system! Of course nowadays the emulators of retro computers in any flavor and related utilities have evolved to high levels of functionality and accuracy, developed for PC...

Oy, please take your time and of course keep your priorities, as scheduled! These are pure hobbyist things and they shouldn't be done in a hurry or under pressure! Just when you have the time and the right mood! Thank you for keeping my idea in your mind, even for (much) later!! ;) P.S. ZX80 emulato...

Re: SP-2-ZX81, the new ZX81-emulator for the 48K ZX Spectrum
Hmmm, I was recently reading this: https://www.sinclairzxworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2986 Great improvements by zsolt here, excellent work... My crazy thought to propose to dr.beep: Could it be possible to build a separate version of your amazing SP-2-ZX81 emulator using this ROM? An original/impr...

Re: ZX81 mods: USB power, CVideo, 32K, MP3
Hello Jochen, nice mods you made there! I have already tried all of them myself, except of the MP3/sound input mod with the LM358... Very very interesting, it will be a major improvement to be able to load flawlessly from external sound source!!! 8-) Could you please give a bit more detailed instruc...

32k software available and loading methods
I was looking around for a complete list of the "pure" 32k games, demos or whatever for the Zeddy available so far, but I didn't find them listed together somewhere... An average Zeddy fan usually has a 16k expansion, but what exactly are the extra software options if someone goes for a full 32k (in...
