Re: Dung out my old TS1000

that 'high' 11v may be needed if the zx is used with some non sinclair rampacks as they derive the '12v' supply for the 4116's direct from the '9v' (11v) line.... Ah, I see that the unregulated "9V" is indeed brought out to the edge connector. Kinda bad design practice to rely on that 9V being grea...

Re: Dung out my old TS1000

...I remember that wall transformer putting out something like a smidge over 11 volts or so. ZX81 PSU's often output around 11V  They are an "unregulated" type, so unless supplying the full rated output current, the output voltage will be above the "nominal" 9V. When not connected to a ZX81 / ...

Re: ZX81CCP

Pokemon - Are you still selling the ZX8-CCB boards/kits?

If so, how would I go about purchasing one?

Re: Dung out my old TS1000

Looks like an additional finned heatsink was added. Luckily nowadays the 7805 can be replaced with a switching regulator. I was able to make space in the case by removing the heatsink afterwards. I like the ZX8CCB video modification, as I added the switch to select normal or inverted video to reduc...

I believe this is an issue 1 PCB and I assume a early ULA. What can you guys tell me about it? I have a couple of TS1016 16k ram ...

ZX81 PSU?

I just dug out my TS1000 and I have everything but the PSU (actually it's probably around here somewhere). I remember it taking 9V but I'm not sure I remember the polarity. It's a 3.5mm mono phone jack and I think that the + is on the tip. Can anyone confirm that?

Thanks,
