Re: GUI operating systems?

For old systems this is mainly a question of the correct (twisted) cable.
For a new interface it could also be made by a jumper on the board.
Kind regards

Re: GUI operating systems?

No, its just the naked disk drive without case in a anti static bag.
Standard 1.44 MB drives with 720k capability.
Mitsumi D359M3D.
I have twenty of those.

Re: GUI operating systems?

Is there a description how it is used?
With rand usr, or via additional commands, patched ROM?
Kind regards

Re: Hi I have a ZX80 and am looking to sell it advice needed

It should work ok if it delivers enough mA. I wouldn't try a psu with less than 700mA because that's what Sinclair delivered with its devices. More is no problem. If the psu connected to the zx80 still has more than 10V I would only test for a couple of minutes, than let the regulator of the ZX cool...

Re: Copyright/Permission for ZX80 Case?

Could it still be Sinclair? Sinclair Research Ltd still exists, see here . ZX80 page here . Or maybe Rick Dickinson holds the copyright? Mark Well, it's definitely not Rick Dickinson. He answered that he designed ZX81 and Spectrum cases, not ZX80 cases that were designed by John Pemberton

Re: Copyright/Permission for ZX80 Case?

Thanks for the info! That's good news. I will forward this to my friend!
Anyway, meanwhile I have asked Rick Dickinson for his opinion.
Kind regards
