HOW DOES THIS WORK??

Hi all I found this in Sinclair User, it works on a real zeddy so it should also work on an emulator. Does anyone know how it does it? Here it is as written.... "Here is a way you can use NEW and OLD statements on the 16k ZX-81 in a similar way to the BBC computer: Load or type in a program on your ...

Re: SuperNova

Hi Sir Morris You could I suppose wade through defenders code and see the relevence of the pokes on the inlay card that alter the display. A bit of "back coding" so to speak. I'm afraid I don't have the latin for it being one of lifes thickies!!! The p file and inlay is here if you don't have it alr...

Re: ZX81 Motherboard

Glad to help mark, I had heard of modded roms before but always thought they were somebodies "home brew" efforts. It would seem you have quite a rarity there. Also there was a story about a non production rom which was made which had the data-read-restore features found later on the spectrum, but ha...

Re: ZX81 Motherboard

Hi all hope this extract from Ian Logan's book understanding your zx81 rom can shed some light on the add on fitted to motherboard. He describes various differences between old and new roms and how a few old roms are fitted with the add on to correct arithmatic errors caused by just three bytes of c...
