Any reason this wouldn't work on a TS 1500?

How difficult would be be to take an old monochrome laptop, put ZX81 components therein, add in the ZXspand and sound systems, hook up a rudimentary mouse, and make it a bonified notebook computer?

Looks like somebody figured out how to do just that with a Speccy.

Oops, already done. Had to put in the original EPROM for it to take though. The one I received from one of our cohorts still isn't being recognized for some reason. Now showing "ZXPAND 1.5 BETA"

Unfortunately no, though one of our forum members did ship me a chip with the most updated ROM.

Mine is the earliest board and version (just a K prompt at boot-up), though PRINT PEEK 7679 shows "2" and the ZXspand Interface is Version 1.0.
