Oh - I havent tried it yet, its brand new - got it from the person making them on eBay - has the latest firmware. Ok so I need to give it a go and see what happens.

I have a USA version of the ZX81 (not the TS1000) and it has the TV out like the picture below but it also has a recess where you could remove the cut out for TV out closer to the EAR & MIC like the 2nd picture - why the difference?

Has anyone repainted the ZX81 raised letters and the ZX81 16K RAM raised letters before? I have tried but I keep getting ink on the sides and it originally was only on the top of the letters.
