Re: ZXmore or the ZX80CORE follow-up
Pokemon, I would be carted off by the men in white to a padded room if I had to wire that board Awesome job! If you make up a kit for the board count me in for one!

Re: Bad Keyboard
I remember buying one of those keyboards at Radio Shack. Mine was black with white lettering and no pcb connected. i got it to make an external keyboard for my Timex Sinclair but never got around to making it and eventually lost it in a move.

Re: Any Stand alone ZX81 Java emulators?
I have found Steven Holdsworth's JtyOne emulator based on the EightyOne http://www.zx81stuff.org.uk/zx81/jtyone.html . Due to the heighten security of Java 8.40 I cannot run the demo but I have downloaded the source code. Now to learn how to run Eclipse and Swing so I can build a GUI for stand alone...

Any Stand alone ZX81 Java emulators?
I know of http://www.vavasour.ca/jeff/ts1000/ but is there any java based ZX81 emulators that do not require a website? I have personally wanted to learn Java since it is one of the best cross platform languages and my proficiency with C would make it easy. Also I've always wanted to create an emula...

Is there a comprehensive collection of ZX81 software?
I'm trying to find all the software that was made for the ZX81. I have found collections of software on TOSEC, GameBase, RWAP's site, and zx81.nl. Is there any other good sources? Also is there a listing of which programs that still have copyrights so I don't illegally copy them? I plan to archive t...

Re: Bad Keyboard
I bought 2 of RWAP's keyboard replacements to replace the two bad keyboards. I was able to use the original keyboard on one TS1000 by trimming the ribbon. The other was already trimmed and was a bit short after trimming again so I replaced it. The original keyboard one is boxed up in a safe place as...

Bad Keyboard
I have a Timex Sinclair 1000 that works. I've kept in original condition and have been giving it a lot of TLC. I only play it rarely. Last night I ran it only to find the keys in the 5 and 6 columns no longer work! Can age make the keyboard ribbon so brittle that the stress around the ribbon connect...

Re: ZXmore or the ZX80CORE follow-up
I'm looking forward to the ZXmore! I just got a solder station for Christmas and it'll make building the kit easier than the cheapo Radio Shack Iron I have.

Re: ZX81 colour interface, plus!
I wonder if this will do NTSC output for use in the USA. I can find a SCART to A/V converter pretty cheap on Amazon.

American ZX81
I was given a ZX81 this weekend and I did not realize there was an American ZX81. It uses TV channels 2 and 3 and the keyboard is identical to the TS1000. It has Delete and Enter rather than Rubout and New Line.
