Re: ZXPand with ZX80

Both PCBs are now in the prototype production and should be ready by the end of the week. I will build both the next week and will make final correction and produce a small PCB batch of both. I will release the Eagle and PDF files, so anyone can make the PCB. Martin would it be possible to have the...

Re: AYe AYe...

A big "thank you" for these developments. Hardware is nothing without software. ;) *waiting for digital samples playback* Hi Bruno, i guess that sample tracker playback would be possible, of course there would be no option to keep a active display on ZX81 during playback, it would just not be possi...

Re: CMOS Z80 CPUs For Sale

Though to be fair I will be visiting Maplins this evening as they have the 2x18 pin sockets I need for the Zx80 I'm building....

Cheers.

Re: ZXpand with UDG Characters

Hi Phil, yes they are 8 bytes per character row, top row first, first 8 bytes char 0 , next 8 char 1, next 8 char 2 and so on. Phill :) :) but yeah assci text will do, i can manipulate them and compile it to a binary that i can then load on the zeddy. Here you go Andy, the complete Dragon Alpha and...

Re: ZXpand with UDG Characters

Yeah but I suppose with some fancy routing you could put the socket holes on for both.....
See AY-adapter on the DB folder.....

Re: AYe AYe...

Good point Rich - that's correct. I'm using the internal clock divider. If an AY is used then there'll have to be an additional chip. I might put a place for that as an SMD component on the rear of the board for the more adventurous ;) Additional chip ? Is this as a clock generator, or just a divid...

Re: Simple 8-16K RAM Mod Question

I stumbled across THIS schematic (and I just so happen to have a CDM6264 sitting here), but I'm struggling to see why the three NAND gates have to be there. What would happen if I connected everything else as shown but eliminated the three gates and connected A13 to /ROMCS on the ROM? Wouldn't it g...
