Re: New member from Oregon, USA
Another little update... I did this yesterday/today: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51755866565_7437a289f9_c.jpg TZXduino breadboard by Desi Villaescusa , on Flickr It's an Arduino Uno I had lying around, with a 16x2 LCD (a bit dim as I am running it off of 3.5v) and an inexpensive uSD card rea...

Re: New member from Oregon, USA
Just a little update on where I am, although some of this was in other posts. On my TS1000, I finally added in a ZX8-CCB to replace my ghetto mod (which worked, but wasn't great), and after some fumbling and assistance here, got it set up right and I'm getting a pretty great picture now. I also fina...

Re: Two Dead Zeddies And A Partridge In A Pear Tree
Not an electronics guy, so probably won't be much help, but my thoughts initially are also around display. What type of TV are you using? I have heard that the older ULAs have more problems with newer TVs than the more recent ULA... Maybe the one that is working is a newer ULA and your TV doesn't li...

Re: TS1000 Keyboard decision....
Also, both should only require a small adjustment from their settings, from when the module was supplied. Mark Thanx! I have the paper printout instructions that came with it (which is surprising the way I "store" things), but good to have the PDF for my archive! Yeah, I think mine probably came se...

Re: TS1000 Keyboard decision....
I have fitted (quite) a few of these and generally found this to be a good start point. Some have need some extreme tuning before getting a good picture. Got it! Thanx!!! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51740986999_8a1f74de6a_b.jpg 3D Monster Maze by Desi Villaescusa , on Flickr Also, the ZX81 ...

Re: TS1000 Keyboard decision....
The ‘stuff’ above R30 maybe thread, as in from cloth. That’s not normal. You may be able to remove it if you pull it. Mark OK, I got out my magnifier and really looked. It's not something on the board. It's scratches IN the board. It looks like someone used too much solder and bridged the two lines...

Not just wiping off (or even moving when I try). I'll try some IPA... (The cleaner, not the beer... ;-) ) Perhaps I'll pull out the hot air statio...

Re: TS1000 Keyboard decision....
Issue one ZX81s look hand drawn while issue three zeddies are machine drawn. That's what I thought, but this one looks machine drawn and still says ISSUE ONE on it just above the Z80... (Unfortunately, from my terrible picture, you can only really see the E from the word ONE above and to the right ...
