I in its time I used the program Audacity and an homebuilt cable to connect the PC to the recorder. If you are interested I send you the wiring diagram and the indications on how to proceed. After several tests, I can claim to have obtained the desired 40K. Now I have to modify the Memopak 16K, but I would avoid the output of flying leads. If not I will...

Using a tape recorder, the tape is loaded regularly on ZX81?
