Re: SPeccy ON the ZeddY
Hi Zsolt I tried also SAVE and LOAD onto an MD-recorder instead of a cassette recorder. The MD-recorder works fine with my ZX81. I tried SAVE "test" and saw then black an white stripes on the screen. And something was written to the MD-recorder Then I did NEW LOAD "test" and tried to load the saved ...

Re: ZXpand with Hires games
Fred's programs present problems with real hardware. I've never been able to get them to run on anything other than an emulator. Perhaps someone here can shed some light on this? I would like to see them running as much as anyone. Hmm, I didn't have any problems to run a lot of Fred's programs (Bi-...

Re: SPeccy ON the ZeddY
That sounds great. I will try it on my 64K Zeddy ... Siggi Done. And it works! :D But the Zeddy with 16 K ram starting at 0k is my web-server zeddy. So I had to overwrite the server-startup-rom with the SPONZY-rom (first 8k). After I had found out, how I had to set the DIP-switches at the front of ...

Re: SPeccy ON the ZeddY
Hi Zsolt approx. one year ago I played a little bit with the Speccy-Emulator rom for the ZX81, coming with EO (the SP81.rom). I found, that it works fine with EO, but not with my ZX81 I used to test, because that was a 64K Zeddy(*). The problem with SP81.rom is, that the dummy D-File for generating ...

Re: ZX-2012
2. (and this is where the mis-understanding lies...) what should I change (i.e.Siggi's thoughts) before I order a test run? Hi Gregory, I would disconnect /OE of U28 from /CS of U28 to avoid possible timing problems. I described them here: http://www.sinclairzxworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=407#p3219 So...
Re: ZX-2012
I don't think siggi was mocking you - certainly I think this is an interesting project, but I think the point siggi was trying to make, was that maybe before you go too much further, you need to consider some of the other improvements which have been made to the ZX81 over the years, rather than jus...
Re: ZX-2012
Hi Phill some more goodies: Perhaps you could use Wilf's new WAIT circuit? http://www.user.dccnet.com/wrigter/index_files/ZX81WAIT.htm And 64 K ram? http://www.user.dccnet.com/wrigter/index_files/Thanks%20for%20all%20the%20Memories.htm And a M1-NOT logic to enable execution of MC above 32K? And a sw...
Re: m1not
Does anyone have a description of what exactly the M1 not mod involves is it anyway related to the combination of NAND gates on this page : http://www.zx81.de/english/32k-rame.htm When generating the display the Z80 jumps into the display file to execute NOPs there. But the Z80 always jumps to (DFI...
