Re: BASIC drawing proggy

As you can see in many threads on this forum, the general problem with the 16K RAMpack is bad capacitors. You could open it up and replace the capacitors, and that might fix your RAMpack. I got a chance to open it up earlier and as soon as I saw them there I had a similar thought! Hoping to get som...

BASIC drawing proggy

hey all, I've written a very simple drawing proggy to use on my unexpanded zeddy and I'm pretty happy with it. ***edit*** there is now an 'ascii' version with save and print options, too. You litterally move the pointer around the screen with the four keys, then the T key will raise or lower the pen...

Re: Small memory dump program

Thank you for the suggestions! I got a ram pack today and I was hoping to be able to have a bit more of an experiment with things with 16kb under my belt but sadly it's duff as I just get the white screen with it plugged in.

@mrtinb, apologies for hijacking your thread!

(Then you can continue playing until your ZXpand arrives.)
That sounds like a plan ;-)

Re: Small memory dump program

Is there any way that the data could be sent to the pc instead of a printer (thaf the 81 thinks is a printer) so the picture can be saved on the pc that way? I've pre-ordered the ZXpand+ and I was wondering if the possibility existed alongside a serial link.

Re: Small memory dump program

ZX81 does not support data files. However you can SAVE in a program, and the program including it's state is saved. When the program is loaded again, it continues on the line after the SAVE. Hmm, ok i might need to go back to the drawing board for a way to save my pictures then. I suppose really I ...
