ZX81 Art

Post by thewiz »

Hi, this is my first post to this board so be gentle.

I came across the ZX81 Art Competition 2007 recently and it got me thinking about using Mosaic generators to create pictures for the ZX81. Heres a couple I've done.

If you want to try some yourself, I use a free program called Mosaizer Lite available from http://www.mosaizer.com as it lets you set the tiles width/height.

After picking a picture, convert it into black and white before converting it.

If anyone wants the ZX81 character set as individual jpgs, I can send you a copy. Alternately create your own using the picture that came with Eightyone 1.0a and use PSP 7 "File -> Export -> Image Slicer".

Have fun.

Nice! I will have to try this at some time. This reminds me of an old topic at ts1000.us where someone was trying to come-up with the best way to fit an animation into 16K.

Thank you for posting this.

Does the prog saves files in *.p format?
And if so, it also should keep the scale of ZX81 screen.
I would be a nice tool then.

Btw, Bruno, I managed to keep the demos "alive" on my disk, if You want them. :)
