What a treasure of a board no, sqrt fix hardware add-on , genuine Zilog CPU (most but not all were NEC, SGS or Mostek) Klutzed ROM and the earliest dated ULA (1981 week 12) I've seen, beats mine by a week!!

It would appear You have POSSIBLY? one of the earliest Zeddies made.

I've decided to keep it in original condition without doing the Composite mod. It just needs new feet as the previous owner removed them, presumably to get at the screws.

Hello! I just thought I'd pop in again regarding my elderly ZX81.

I obtained another more recent model in 2014 so I've kind of kept this older one wrapped in cotton wool...but as she's approaching her 40th birthday I've got her out again and she's still working! Klutzed ROM and ancient ULA all doing their thing. She does finally need a new keyboard, which I've ordered. As well as a newly published game to play. Here's to her 50th in another decade.
