HRWP

Post by dessony »

Everybody,

Here is a Hi-Res-Word Processor! It was designed to work with a ZX printer and a TS2040 printer. I don't know if the software will work with any other printers.

Have you any description to run the software?

It says C/1 with both RUN and GOTO 1.

Do you have any instructions for it. Programs back then wasn't really user friendly. You needed the manual to use them.

Tried this with 2 different emulators and 3 real zeddies and all I get is a screen full of garbage. Is there some magical combinations of buttons to press or is this for gurus only?

First it is pseudo graphics, so ZXpand has to be disabled.

I found that Shift-9 toggle lowercase. Shift-S print to the printer. Which printer you have is set by Shift-Q. Shift-I toggles insert and overwrite.

It looks like Shift-W is some sort of save to tape.

You cannot use the cursor keys to move around the text. So again a manual would be nice.

I've only succeeded to print horizontally and not sideways.

Many thanks Martin, once again you come to the rescue.

Like you suggest a manual or some simple instruction would be useful.

Thank you so much for the manual. I'll see if it works better with real hardware than in EightyOne.
