I retrieve it, it seem to be the "2.2.p" file… But, previous one seem corrupt in the D_file...
To use with the FastBaud over the RAM_TOP.

Haha thanks Xav! I know my Dad talked about writing Westworld game, that he tried to get published but not come across a copy so far unfortunately. I don't know what databases I've been sharing on here - I did ask his permission, but don't think data security was a thing back in the days of the ZX81!

I don't know if this is a useful bit of software, it's a machine code monitor made by Ceran Software 'Codescan'. There's a few advert and an article about it online but couldn't find a downloadable copy. I captured it and it converted to a .p through ZX81 Tape Converter but it doesn't look like it does anything when tyring on EightyOne. Here's the files in case it's of interest

I've not grips with lowering RAMPTOP yet (I am going to finish capture my dad's tapes and then going to have a look at Toni Baker's book), but this website has a copy of the review from Nick Pearce from ZX Computin #16:
Codescan offers a quick and easy method of entering and checking machine code, and will be of interest to those ZX81 users who write complete programs, or subroutines, in machine code.

During use, the screen displays the Codescan operating commands, together with a 'window' showing 24 addresses and their hexadecimal contents, with a cursor pointing to one of the addresses and the contents of the A, BC, DE and HL registers. The window can be scrolled up or down, and the cursor pointed quickly to any desired address, to enable machine code to be readily compiled and edited. The display and handling methods are excellent in this respect, and make Codescan a very easy-to-use program.

The emphasis throughout, is on user-friendliness. It comes complete with a clearly written instruction bookley, which contains an example program, through which the reader is taken, step-by-step, as an introduction to the facilities offered by Codescan. The program resides above RAMTOP in the ZX81, and so before loading the program, RAMTOP must be lowered.

Apparently, Codescan was developed by Ceran Software as an aid to their own programmers. It is certainly likely to be very attractive to any ZX81 programmer writing in machine code.

A useful and well-presented package.

Here's another tape from my Dad's collection, a compilation of bootlegged and type-in French games. 'Metivier III' seems to be the label

Side A
1. Tomb of Dracula
2. Monopoly (french)
3. Scribble
4. Othello (Moi)
5. Detective
6. Presentation
7. Red Ants
8. Possessed
9. List Remedy

Side B

Here's a link to the files including wav in case of interest: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

Not many more tapes to go now!

Thanks XavSnap, I've done a quick adjustment of the files to reflect that. BTW is it best to not to share .p files here more generally?

There's some fun games here. Red Ant, Cramp looks like a fun game, and 3D Nort works a bit like Monster Maze. Google Translate is having to come into play!

Regard Daytona, it was just a private mail with the author.
I failed to persuade him to broadcast his program…
