Hello to all of you,
how to I manage to start the program "Go" from https://zx81.eu5.org/msprog.htm ?
It says in the txt file, that it autostarts but I did not manage to get it to run
And also is there some sort of AI in this program?
Greetings
Micro Sistemas Go program
Re: Micro Sistemas Go program
For completeness: I tried it only in EightyOne. Maybe i should test it on my real Zeddy ?
Re: Micro Sistemas Go program
I tried three different versions of Eighty One and I couldn't get it to run either, however it works ok in SZ-81.
Re: Micro Sistemas Go program
Using the real machine is always a good idea
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.
Re: Micro Sistemas Go program
Hi,
Unzip the "GO.ZIP" somewhere on your local disk,
Mount the "P" file in the tape window and
Type "J"+"SHIFT P"+"SHIFT P"
Or double click on the unzipped "P" file.
Have fun.

Re: Micro Sistemas Go program
The program is missing the byte 80h that marks the beginning of the variables area. Some emulators ignore this, but not EO. This failure was probably caused by the xtender emulator used in the conversion of programs almost 3 decades ago when EO did not exist. Here is the fixed program:christoph wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 8:31 am how to I manage to start the program "Go" from https://zx81.eu5.org/msprog.htm ?
Unfortunately there is no AI, you need a human opponent to play it.
