Post by yerzmyey »

Hi,

I've just found there is a new small nice demo for ZX81 1K:

WOW! what an excellent achivement in just 127 bytes ! but the Core code is only 58-ish bytes (guessing by counting instruction lengths from memory, when looking at the source), i think i'm going to pick it apart and see how full screen manipulation and what looks very much like a serpinski algorithm can be squeezed into such small amounts of memory :-)

congratulations to the author.

And thanks Yerzmyey for finding it.

Looks more like cellular automata, if you ask me.

Info: category of 128b intro is a tricky one.
Only a file must be equal or smaller than 128 bytes. But later it can generate a lot of its own "code" placed in a lot of memory. :)
On "bigger" computers programmist make 128b or 1K intros that generate code too big to place it in ZX48K. :)
On the other hand, HERE he had to make a code fit in 1K of ram (including video-ram, hehe).
So still, good job, heh.
