Oh noes... not another demo...

Post by Andy Rea »

Hi all

It's finished, a TEXT only demo, so will work on non hi-res machines requires 16K, sound card optional ;)

Just load her up and.... erm enjpy.

Soundtrack is the work of Yerzmyey, all coding by me, and some idea's provided by Sirmorris over a beer on a dark night somewhere near Dunkirk

Regards andy

P.s, for peeps with soundcards at other addresses, you'll need to break the program (be quick it autoruns) and poke a couple of addresses

registers select port , POKE 17661,rr (where rr is your register select port address)
data port, POKE 17665,dd (where dd is you data port)

the high address lines are always $ff when sending data, or selecting the register.

EDIT: new file, was a bug that stopped it working correctly on TS1500, Please note that it makes the TS1500/TS1000 run in 50Hz mode, so the display may roll
ms.p
ZX81 text only demo.

OH YES!

Wow Andy - yet again you've surpassed expectation! This is quite a landmark - one of the finest zeddy coders versus one of the finest AY musicians 8-)

Top stuff. Well done both of you :ugeek:

Aaaah, the truth is, I realize for the UK and US users there should be something with power sound like Prodigy on breakbeat/oldschool-techno or EXZAKT in electro style, but the truth is - it's rather impossible on the AY/YM chip with 50hz work. ;) :) :) :) :) So forgive me. ;)
I stay with my continental italo-disco stuff. ;) It still does sound OK on AY. ;)

PS: Great demo stuff, btw, fluent scrolling must have been _hard_ to do. :) I wouldn't know 'though - I'm not a coder, hehe. :) Congratz anyway.

HELLS BELLS :o :o :o

What a fantastic joint effort guys. :D

@ Charlie talk about cause and effect,if 5 or 6 years ago You hadn't bothered persevering with a piece of Vero board and a Sinclair rampack case none of this would have happened!

Andy, Charlie and Yerz the holy trinity :ugeek: :ugeek: :ugeek: ( or the three ugly sisters)
