When making a printed copy this week, I found that the manual in PDF format is missing pages 171 to 188. :o

I will be buying a printed copy and then producing a new PDF including the new pages.

UNLESS someone already has those scanned images. Please share.

Charles

Which Speccy version Charles?

If it's the plain 48k version then all that those pages refer to is a binary to hex conversion chart then the book index itself, nothing of worth missing but I'm happy to scan if you really want it. :D

Regards.

Moggy.

That would be wonderful. I believe the following are the missing contents. Thank you.

OK Charles no problem, but the the pages listed for the three chapters don't line up in my Spectrum manual, which is identical to the one pictured, so can only assume error on the transcribers part.

The pages in my copy are chapter 25 127-130 chapter 26 131-133 and appendices 135-141

Will have to erase some inky scribbles of my own from these pages via Photoshop but will do tomorrow no worries. :D

The name of the artist that Sinclair used for the ZX Spectrum manual covers escapes me at the moment...

But I'm sure someone here knows...

I have a ZX Spectrum manual in good condition, and a flat bed scanner. I can scan whatever you need, but I'm away from home at the moment, so it would have to wait until the middle of next week.

Also, just for clarification. Charles, the page numbers, are these as printed in the manual, or PDF page numbers. I know that with one of the manuals produced by Sinclair, to reduce costs, they removed the blank pages in between chapters. Hence the total page count falls. But I can't remember if this was the ZX81 or the ZX Spectrum manual that this happened with.

The ZX Spectrum manual had a couple of revisions, plus numerous reprints (the ZX Spectrum being more successful than Sinclair expected).

These are the printed page numbers and since the content is missing it is fairly obvious that the pages were probably not in the original scan. Not in a hurry.

Hi Charles.

I have revision three of the book and it doesn't line up page or chapter wise with yours and to be honest after looking at the pictures you've posted I'm not really sure what it is that you're after so i'll leave this one to Mark who I assume has edition two.

As an aside I have several (ahem) versions of the ZX81 manual - issue one spiral bound has over 200 pages and the latest perfect bound one I have has only 160 or so pages!
