Thank you for the links - unfortunately no luck with those either. I'll go search for my Lambda 8300 in the attic and see how it behaves on a real machine.

Looks like Henrik has a great collection of Danish software for this machine on his website. Maybe he will make a copy of some of them. http://www.2kb.dk/lambda_spil.html

(My Lambda 8300 was found broken at a dump, and I have no software for it.)

Hi,

Something's wrong regard the "POWER 3000" BIOS ROM !
Most of "officials" BIOS are the same "Lambda 8300" BIOS ...
I checked the CRC on Mame/Mess... and many "Pow3000.rom" BIOS, ... all CRC are similar.

Most of Power3000 games in ASM CANT work properly with this wrong BIOS!

And I don't know if actual "Power3000" emulators can work using the right Bios too...

By pure luck I ran into a guy that happens to have a working Power 3000 computer. I'm going to try the game out on his computer to see if it works.
And I'm still gonna give it a go on my lambda 8300 as well just for the fun of it.

I've just tried the game on the Lambda ROM version 1 on JSZeddy emulator, and it works great.

So this version is only playable on ROM version 1, and not the later ones.

Cool Martin - I had given up my self. Thinking that the power 3000 rom was different.
Version 1 rom - is that LAM10061.BIN ?

Oh - I see that you are referring to JSZeddy. What file did you use to play the game? Oh I finally get it - SOS.p referenced in this thread.
Now that I know that I wonder how I can play it on my windows pc

Yes Lambda ROM version 1 is LAM10061.BIN.

In an emulator you can distinguish ROM versions like this:

Lambda ROM version 1 without color commands:

Code: Select all

[_]
Black screen with cursor in bottom.

---

Lambda ROM version 2 with color commands:

Code: Select all

[READY]

[_]
READY text at top of screen, and with cursor in bottom.

To play this game is the emulator EightyOne, you have to manually set the ROM to LAM10061.BIN, and download it yourself to the ROMs folder
