They are quite rare, and can be used with the ZX81 as well.

The games "Wall" and "Dstar" has support for color.

Which version you download depends on your Lambda ROM version. If your ROM accepts the commands INK, BORDER and PAPER then you have ROM version 2. ROM version 2 displays [READY]

If commands INK, BORDER and PAPER give an error you have ROM version 1. Software on ROM version 1 can use color as well, but they need to use POKE instead.

This Java program: ZX81 Tape Converter will convert both ways. That's the utility I was using to save your Lambda programs.

I also have a lot of hardware, 3 computers, 2 colorpacks, 3 memory, 1 printer and monitor.
Could you take a picture of your Lambda 8300 collection?

Are the three computers all Lambda 8300? Are they all ROM version 1 or 2?

Are the RAM packs 1k, 2k, 3k or 16k?

Is the printer a ZX Printer or an Alphacom 32?

From what I can find, the Lambda Colour Pack is a 2k RAM Pack at address 8k. This will not conflict with a regular RAM Pack as this starts at address 16k. So data from address 8k - 10k is color attributes. Somehow the address 12300 and 12301 is also used to disable and enable the Colour Pack. So I guess you should not have any other RAM / ROM attached from address 8k - 16k.
