Howdy all!

I'm Span, a student studying computer science in the Pacific Northwest. I picked up a Timex Sinclair 1000 at the very end of my summer, and am just now getting around to trying to get it running! I can handle digital circuits at a very basic level (read: I know what transistors and logic gates do and I get the concept of a multiplexer but not much more) and I'm pretty much out of my depth with analog.

Other than the thrill of having a working computer that's >20 years older than me, I'm mostly looking to play with the flavor of BASIC that was distributed on these and Z80 Assembly. I don't know either of those languages, but I'm pretty handy with AVR assembly so I don't think I'll be completely out of my depth.

All that to say, I'm glad to be here, and I'm hopeful to eventually be of service to the community!

Hi Span,

Welcome. I'm in the Pacific Northwest too, specifically the Seattle metro area

Z80 assembly on the ZX81/TS1000 is my hobby
