Hi to everyone!

Post by wilco2009 »

Hello everyone!

I am wilco2009 from Spain. I'm interested in all vintage computers, especially the Sinclair ones.
My first computer was a zx81 and then I bought a zx spectrum

I am an IT specialist, but my main hobby now is designing hardware for vintage computers.

My usual forum is Va-de-retro.com, probably some of you will know it.

I hope to learn a lot from you, and contribute what I can to this forum.

Hi wilco
Welcome to the Forum.
I don't know va-de-retro (yet). EDIT: I just saw the used language  My spanish is non existing and google translate gives nonsense texts (at least I cant understand what is meant...). Do spanish users use often slang expressions or what do you think why the translation is so bad?

Im also an it Specialist but from Germany and mainly interested in sinclair computers. My first computer was a spectrum (started collecting money for a ZX80 originally) then a ZX80 and then a ZX81. Thirty years later I finally also got a QL.
I'm also designing hardware for sinclairs and like fpga.
I guess you will find many of us here.
Don't hesitate to ask whatever you like to know.
kind regards Paul

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Thank you very much for your welcome.

Google translator is sometimes not so good, it's true.

Anyway, you can ask in English if you can not understand something and we will translate it into our terrible English. I am sorry to mistreat the language of Shakespeare.

The forum name is it self a bit dificult to translate to English because it contains a pun."Va-De-Retro" is like the Latin va-de-retro (satan), but in spanish could be translated also as "our theme is the retro".

Thanks for your wellcome, AmericanPi.

The only tip that I can give you, is that you have to study with dedication.

I had study in the same way, and it is very hard but grateful. ;)
