Hello form Devon

Post by Iscanic »

Hey Guys,

Just came across this forum and had to join! My Dad came home with a brand new zx81 when I was 9 years old! He spent hours trying to plug it in and get it working - took me 5 mins, and I was hooked! This very moment defined my life and career, and I am now working for a large multinational running global infra with a $2.5bil IT budget! And all thanks to the humble ZX81!

I have a bit of a collection and will post a few pics later to see what you think! I havent got a clue if I have anything rare or interesting, but it will be fun finding out!

Looking forward to some interesting chats!

Cheers, Nic.

I've just moved house, so finding stuff is a little difficult at the moment! Here's part of my collection!

4 x original boxed self-assembly ZX81's in perfect condition! Not bad for 42 years old! Has anyone seen something like this before?

Any idea on value?

Cheers!

Hello and welcome!

Unbuilt zeddies are rare but do come up from time to time on eBay. Typically at £250 plus. Not stupidly valuable but nice when you have four. :D

Oh wow! This is just the start! I have a few built 81's, 16k rampak's, couple of ZX printers, lots of spare thermal rolls! A Specky somewhere too... and a bunch of games on cassettes! And an old BBC-B plus a Amstrad PPC640 Luggable!

The 80's were the best! lol

As I slowly dig through, i'll post pics! ;-)

Cool! Unless the Speccy is an issue one I suspect the unbuilt zeddies will be the most valuable.

Got to love the 80’s!
