Re: Welcome Z88 Users
I've recently become a big fan on the z88. Is there much of an online community anywhere?
Or is it just me??

Re: Welcome Z88 Users
There is a bit of a community but not very big - join the Z88 Forums - www.z88world.com and also the "cambridge z88 for everyone" community on facebook

Re: Welcome Z88 Users
Sorry Rich, this sub-forum is intended as a replacement for the old z88world.com forums because of the low level of postings in the old forums.
At a later time I will migrate the old postings to this forums.

Re: Welcome Z88 Users
Hi, yes, I had been reading through the z88 world posts with some interest, but they disappeared a little while ago. I hope they come back as they appeared to be a great source of information
I have a z88 which I'm enjoying. A great way to play manic miner and sir Lancelot on the go, or while fam are watching TV lol.

Until the posts from Z88 World are moved here, you can still see some (but not all) via the Internet Archive here

Any news on moving the old Z88 world posts over?

Re: Welcome Z88 Users
Now this is great.
Never thought of the Z88 to code my game SHOGUN to, but a quick search about the screensize makes a port to the
Z88 possible.
With a little help from an Z88 expert we could make a port of this game to the Z88.
https://sinclairzxworld.com/viewtopic.p ... 909#p47909
Only things to change at first:
displayroutine for the Z88 and reading input
Second to change:
Quicker AI by using old backup system
More AI, adding missing steps in 1K
Sofar the game is ported from ZX Spectrum (2010)to
ZX81 (16K hires 2011 and 1K lowres 2020 / 2022)
TRS80 MC10 (2022)
Philips Videopac (coded 2021, not yet released)

Re: Welcome Z88 Users
And my current game10= could also be ported to a Z88 due to small screensize.
