*HELP!* I lost my updated EightyOne source

Post by sirmorris »

Don't ask how, but it involves changing jobs, a lack of organisation and a degree of laziness.

Did I send anyone a copy of the EO source for 1.0x? If you have one could I please have it?

Thanks

Thanks Zsolt, I have managed to recreate something approaching what I had before losing it all. What I would really like is the later code with the debugger and AY improvements. Thanks anyway!

Well, at least it's always faster to implement something the second time around...

Deassemblers at the ready!....
.... Now recruiting new back-ups....

I hope you manage to fully reconstruct the source code.

One of the advantages of open published code, is being able to find copies on the web ;)
GitHub seems popular.

Yes I know most of EO was written by another person, and so most of the code cannot be treated like I suggest :?

It's kind-of ironic as the reason I found that the code was missing is that I finally got around to making a kind-of best guess history for it in source control. Ho hum :-/

Anyway It seems I've lost less than I thought. Much of my work was to improve the debugger somewhat, and of course there was the zxpand integration. These seem to be mostly in place so I guess now that time will tell what's missing :D

I seem to remember sending Paul a copy - I'll ping him and perhaps also ask on the German language forum.

I am afraid my copy also only is a Version before zxpand was added.
Of course you can always ask for a copy from the NSA as this is definitely a danger for the (inter)national security of our emulator!
Kind regards
Paul

Hmm, that's a shame. Certainly the NSA will have copies of it ;)

@ SirMorris - I assume that you have checked through your sent emails... Or the back-up that you made of your emails (you did back-up your emails, didn't you?)...

Sorry if this is teaching a hardware hacker to solder a nice solder joint
